Friendly if slightly run down looking pub next to a Reindeer sanctuary , the small bar area is the oldest bit of the pub dating to the 17th century , the rest of the pub is made up of several modern extensions in a bit of a muddle with various partitions breaking up the open plan interior with a 70s feel to it .
Usual keg taps and two real ales , Old Speckled Hen and an Ok Hobgoblin .

A nice looking white rendered low lying cottagey country pub, with dormer windows and a good beer garden.
The interior is an open plan, mainly food orientated pub with red and white walls and a red ceiling with beams. There are some etched windows, odd ephemera and prints and maps on the walls. There is no music or TV. The service was fine, the clientele more mature and all diners.
Beer; tap stuff with the ubiquitous Abbot Ale and the Spekky Hen wasn't even on.
I was really disappointed that there was a lack of real ale (no MILD of course) and that the place was really for diners - i didn't eat, so not commenting on the food - it just seemed a let down for the real ale drinker - at least i got a couple of drinks down the road in Hill Ridware.
