Strongers . left this review about Polite Vicar
The Polite Vicar is a Greene King Flaming Grill found in a grand building with front extension and terrace that leads down to picnic tables and a front lawn that sets the pub back from the passing road. Inside there is split-level seating to the left and a pool table to the right. Televisions are found throughout for Sky Sports, but with my visit be late on a recent midweek afternoon these were muted in favour of background music. It wasn’t busy, but lots of the tables were reserved for later in the evening. The L-shaped bar on the rear wall supports four hand pumps that were drawing Old Speckled Hen, IPA, and Abbot Ale. Premium keg was also available alongside Beavertown’s Neck Oil. As family friendly food led pubs go I actually liked it in here and would visit if in the area with the balls and chains.
