Ian Mapp left this review about The Beacon

Huge Titanic House, with all their range on and some guests. I went for the White Star, which was in reasonable condition. Nice inside, with some views out onto the shopping street. A not very attractive patio to the rear.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Beacon

Almost certainly an improvement here (because I was never motivated to visit previously, despite the Brewers' Tudor facade) as this is now a Titanic outlet. Anyway, it now has an attractive alehouse-style, reversed J-shaped arrangement. Six cask ales from the owning brewery, plus Backyard Blonde (£3.70) and Warwickshire's Lady Godiva, from eight handpumps on the main counter, together with a couple of ciders from another pair on the right-hand side.

Delboy 20 left this review about The Pig

The Pig is now run by Derby Brewing Company and has the full range of ales on. Hop Till You Drop, Business As Usual, Quint Essential, Mercia, Dashingly Dark and Penny's Porter. The 2 we tried were excellent. For me this pub has to be included in a crawl round Lichfield because of the beer choice. I'll be back!

Al Bundy left this review about Pig & Truffle

An open plan pub that has a U-shaped bar with the seating set around it. Has a piano to your right as you enter and a double bass on the wall to your left. Bare stone patterned wallpaper around the door and fire. An uninspiring selection of real ales available.

Soup Dragon left this review about The Oak

A terraced pub, in a row of three - with The Acorn and The Crown. It is in brick, with some stonework part timber and white. Now called Pig & Truffle.

The interior was open plan with a central light wood bar. The decor was white and wood panel, with a few old photographs of Lichfield. Service was ok and the clientele mixed, but small. There was also Sky TV.

The beer; well, tap stuff, with no MILD, and there were a few handpumps, but only the Pedigree was working sadly, as it was pretty poor.

To be honest, i wouldn't bother with any of them, this is probably the nicest pub of the three, but the worst beer.
