Strongers . left this review about The Victoria Inn

The Victoria is an L-shaped pub with a central bar along the rear wall that faces the entrance. Banquettes run across the front left windows and up the left-hand wall to a couple of high tables and a dartboard at the rear. A pool table is found to the right and TNT Sport is advertised, but during my recent Wednesday afternoon visit the televisions were airing Now 80s, it’s a long time since I heard Jive Bunny, but not long enough. The women behind the bar was friendly, but both hand pumps were badged with Pedigree that was available alongside a standard keg range as well as San Miguel and Birra Moretti. I was made to feel welcome, but I think I’ll leave this place to the locals in future.

A solid looking street corner local, the front entrance once would have given access to two rooms but this is now an open plan public bar with new carpets and some tables marked not for use to maintain social distance. The QR code did not work on my iphone 6 and no other T&T attempt was made. The long side of the room has a darts board obsured by a bar billiards table with it's top on.Maybe these features are also victims of Covid. The rest of the decor is tidy but unremarkable. The service however was very friendly from two barmaids and the locals are lively and welcoming with lots of banter about the new Covid regs.
Two handpumps but both serving just Pedigree (NBSS 3).Free wifi aided my visit, muzak was at a sensible level but the resticted ale choice might temper another visit.

Quinno _ left this review about The Victoria Inn

Street corner local owned by Marstons. A few quid has been chucked at it recently and it's fairly clean and cosy inside, if a little twee in places. The right-hand side is a wedge shaped open space with laminate flooring (for the football crowd?), whilst the left has fabric bench seating, sepia equine wallpaper, pub carpet and a further spur into a darker area. As noted below, one of the old etched windows (‘vaults’) has survived. Two pulls with just Pedigree on but in good nick (NBSS 3). A fair local worth a look-in if you’re nosing the area.

Old Boots left this review about Victoria Inn

An uneven U shaped open plan corner pub with a pool table in the short end and a dart board at the far end of the long arm, screens and machines fill odd corners. Floored in a mix of quarry tile and carpet the furnishing is functional. Only a mundane Pedigree to choose from. It’s pretty family friendly and has a locals feel but nothing much of note about it. One old etched windows remains from a former life, it says “vaults”.
