Strongers . left this review about Loaf & Cheese

Loaf & Cheese has a central serving area with a long red carpeted bar to the left with banquettes under the front window and up the left-hand wall to a hidden dartboard in the left rear corner and a large television on the rear wall that was airing muted seniors snooker on Chanel 5 while some background music played from the 1970s. The smaller right hand bar has more banquette seating and another dartboard and in the right rear is a pool room, but the pool table was covered and out of use. Standard keg was available alongside Madri and two hand pumps that were drawing some decent Bass and Hobgoblin Gold. I thought the service was very friendly and there was a strong Wednesday afternoon crowd, a decent pub for the locals.

Old Boots left this review about The Loaf & Cheese

Another of those basic small locals that abound in Burton still retaining the two bar layout with the public to the left and a garden at the back. Definitely a locals pub, the friendly atmosphere and hubbub of conversation and banter plus a photo montage of the locals gives the game away. Two pulls among a forest of multi fonts, just with a lacklustre Bass on.
