Strongers . left this review about The Grange Inn

Seeing the faded Bass sign on the side wall and no signage up the side of the Grange Inn I thought it had been converted to residential use. I actually walked past and gave my head a disappointed shake before turning around to see the pub sign next to an open door… Happy days! To the right of the entrance is a room with seating, a pool table and a dartboard. The bar area is found ahead of the entrance where there’s another pool table to the left and the serving counter runs up the right to a test your strength boxing machine at the rear. Standard keg was available alongside Birra Moretti, Madri and a lone hand pump that was drawing bass. I was the only customer so I decided to order half a lager, I then received a pint but I didn’t bother arguing because the barman was a very friendly chap who had just misheard me, and it was only just north of £4. Up the left opposite the counter is seating and at the rear is a large stage area with big speakers either side. I got a live music / social club vibe, although I didn’t see any live music advertised, but there was some 70s R&B and soul playing in the background. I was made to feel welcome, but this isn’t somewhere I’ll be visiting again.

Large street corner pub, with a battered façade that put the frighteners on me a bit. Extensively walloped through inside, a thoroughly unsatisfying affair and basically a cross between a sports bar and the Phoenix Club, with pool table, darts, loads of screens for the football and a dancefloor. Some well-oiled locals effing and jeffing at each other whilst a big lad in a too-small West Brom kit ADHD’d his way through the Baggies match on the box. Salvation at the bar where a surprisingly welcoming barman (I certainly didn’t fit the demographic here) served up an excellent half of Pedigree (NBSS 4). So I can’t be too harsh.

A two bar modernised pub, very much a sports fan pub with a pool table in the smaller bar and table football and a mini snooker table in the other. Various screens through out the pub show Sky Sports. Cast iron base tables with some thirties style chairs and stools as furnishings. There is a garden with play equipment at the back. Beer choice is limited to a reasonable Pedigree or various kegs.
