The door from Kimberworth Road opens straight onto the bar with very little space for people to stand, but people were standing there anyway and I had to ask for a bit of space to actually get through the door. An ice-breaker of sorts, and I got a friendly welcome and exchanged a bit of banter with one or two before retiring to a seat away from the bar with my drink. Just the one real ale but a good one: Chantry Santa's Drop. I couldn't see the pump clip through the scrum around the bar, but I imagine the sort of drop seen on the end of a nose in cold weather. The beer was better than the name suggests, being a very drinkable pale at 4.9%, with a bit of flavour. When looking for the toilet I also found a pool table and darts board in the top end of the pub. This is a very good village local, lively and popular.
