The Earl Grey looks like a 50s built estate pub,but it is situated in the middle of Rawmarsh.
I went in the room to the left, this turned out to be a dining room with no internal access to the bar room to the right, but the friendly bar person asked me what drink i wanted and poured it while went outside to the bar room.
The bar is oblong shaped and runs to the rear, there were two bays of bench seating on the right side which faced the bar, there was a raised area to the rear which had a pool table, in use on my visit, the room was carpeted and seemed quite smart, there were three TVs on,two showing horse racing, the other cricket.
There was one real ale on the bar, this was John Smiths Cask which was a decent drink, and cheap at £1.05 for a half.
The pub was very busy with a good mix of locals.
I was happy enough having a drink in this pub.
