Number Fifteen is a long and thin pub with seating at the front and a tile topped serving counter midway up the left-hand wall where it faces high tables up the wall opposite. At the end of the counter is a pool table and the seating continues up the right-hand wall to the rear. During a recent midweek early evening visit the televisions throughout were airing muted Racing TV while some background music played for the enjoyment of the local pissheads who’d assembled. Standard and premium keg products were both available and one of the two hand pumps was in operation drawing Spitting Feather’s Honey Trap. This is the sort of place I’d pop into every now and again if I lived locally, but Chester is a five-hour drive from my house, so I think I’ll be looking for somewhere a bit more interesting during my next trip up this way.

It had just started to rain, so we popped in here for one. It's a lot bigger than it looks from the outside. No knobhead problems during our visit, but I know exactly what AL means, it has that feeling about it. Raised area to the right and a pool table towards the rear. 3 handpumps, but only two badged. My pint of Weetwood was in decent nick. It's not going to become a regular haunt, but if it started raining again as we were passing, we'd go to That Beer Place a couple of doors away. :-))

A nice, pleasant enough pub and though it doesn't look it it can, sadly, be full of knobheads. A small frontage but the pub runs back making it a longish, thin pub. No real ale but its cheap enough for the mingebags to frequent it. Pleasant but not the best.
