Alan Winfield left this review about The Park
The Park is a large three storey victorian built pub that is situated to the north of the town centre.
Once inside the pub had two seperate rooms, there was a smart looking bar to the left, which was carpeted and had comfy bench seating and normal tables and chairs, there was a pool table to the rear and a muted TV showing horse racing.
The lounge to the right was larger and oblong in shape, this room extended to the rear of the pub,it had bench seating facing the bar and large tables and chairs, this room was set up for a birthday party.
There were no real ales on the bar,the two keg beers were John Smiths smooth crap and Tetley extra cold,i had the John Smiths smooth crap which was pretty poor.
The bar was very busy with a mixed bunch in.
This is a decent enough pub that is let down by its lack of any real ales.
