Alan Winfield left this review about The Mayflower
The Mayflower is a decent looking pub that says it is a boutique inn, well they can stuff that up its *rse.
Once inside the bar faces in a smart looking room which is oblong shaped, the floor is part carpeted, the seating bench type and normal tables and chairs plus a couple of tall tables and chairs,we was going to sit down at some bench seating when the very grumpy landlady told my brother to sit at one of the tall tables and chairs near the entrance,i have never in all of my pub crawling been told what seat to sit at,i gave her hard stares whenever i could.
There is a separate room to the rear which was in darkness.
There was one real ale on the bar which had Bombardier Gold on,this was a decent enough drink.
Food was being served on a fairly busy Saturday dinner visit.
We left this pub with a pretty sour feeling to it.
