Off the Wall is a laminate floored high street pub aimed at the younger inhabitants of Chester, so nobody reading this review is going to like it in here. There’s seating across the front where a photobooth is also situated, do these things actually make any money because I see them in venues like this one all the time and I’ve never seen one being used. A floor tile edged serving counter runs up the left-hand wall where premium keg products are available from the young bar staff. High tables run up the centre of the pub and at the rear is some raised seating where a DJ booth is also found. The televisions throughout were airing muted Sky Sports while some modern dance music played in the background during a recent midweek late afternoon visit when there were two or three other customers, who were all older than me which I found odd for a place like this, maybe there’s a drinks promo that I wasn’t aware of. Before I hit the road, I had to use the toilets that are located at the bottom of a treacherous spiral staircase, I wouldn’t want to be doing that after a skinful. Thankfully I’ll not be visiting here again so a trip to the hospital isn’t on the cards.

You're going the wrong place. Go somewhere else. A horrid large 2 floored monstrosity taking up a large part of the corner. Opposite the amphitheater so expect to see lots of Romans during the day. Of an evening, especially weekends, expect to see dickheads. There is apparently real ale but buggered if I saw it. Then again I was just happy to have a swift drink and be off. Much much better places in Chester but not too many as bad.

Massive two floored pub which was a bit like drinking in a barn on a Thursday afternoon with hardly anyone else in. There's a small beer patio at the rear. There are loads of fruit machines all around. It feels very much like a JDW but without the beer. It looks like student bar and may well be at weekends. No real ale so I had a half of fizz and moved on, it's not for me.

This is a very large trendy pub in the city centre, and a popular sports bar, also the students from the local chester university find this place attractive.
