From the outside this looks like a traditional village pub, unchanged by time, relaxing in the shadow of the church, with spring sunshine percolating through the leaves of the trees in the churchyard. Not a bit of it. Once inside this is a modern sports bar, with sports on TV, a pool table and darts board, and smart modern furnishings in every direction. I actually quite enjoyed the lively music and a cask beer or two would have gained the pub a hearty recommendation. Unfortunately, it's all keg stuff, Strongbow, Madri, Coors, Stella, Carling and Caffreys Black, the latter at the new strength of 3.4% and just £4.70/pint (I had just a half).
