The Mount Inn is a Hydes pub with high banquettes next to the entrance under the front right windows. There’s a large television on the adjacent right-hand wall before a U-shaped serving counter that supports standard and premium keg alongside four hand pumps that were drawing four different Hydes ales. Behind the counter in the right rear corner are some high tables, this right-hand side of the pub was popular with the locals during a recent late afternoon visit when it was quite busy, especially for a Monday. In the longer left-hand side of the pub banquettes run under the front windows while facing a row of high tables. In here is another television, both were turned off in favour of background music, and a dartboard. In the left rear opposite the counter is a carpeted seating area with fireplace, and a few more of the locals. Out the back is an impressive terraced beer garden with paved, decked and grass covered levels that look out onto the Cheshire countryside and passing River Dee. This is a certainly a major draw for the pub. This is a decent venue well worth the trip out of the city centre for, unless of course one doesn’t enjoy Hydes beers.

Lovely pub with views stretching far across the river Dee from the beer garden. Civilised atmosphere inside with people reading the paper. four real ales on and these indicated it to be a Hydes pub with guests. had a Red Aviator which was pleasant at a strange price of £3.18. Service very friendly too. Worth the walk out of Chester if you want nice views and a change from the busy city centre pubs.

Excellent pub tucked away in a turning, but benefitting from its own car park. Nicely furnished interior, with a nice terrace offering superb views over the River Dee. Several good ales on handpump and a friendly welcome. Very pleasant.

A really nice pub just off the main road. Real ales available and a lovely view over the Dee to the rear.

A cream rendered terraced building in two parts and beer patio.
The interior is open plan, but having a couple of different areas. The decor is cream wallpaper and white walls, with green seats (where i was), wood floor and a nice fireplace. There is Sky TV and old pictures of Chester dotted about, along with other ephemera. The bar is wood. Service was fine and it had a mixed clientele.
Beer was all tap stuff, with Black Sheep on handpull. A disappointment really.
Nothing wrong with the place, just a bit of a non-entity really. I wouldn't seek it out, but i am sure at some stage i will drift back in.
