Soup Dragon left this review about The Marlborough Arms

A detached, but narrow pub, with black wood and white exterior, seemingly a little abandoned.

The interior is one small and narrow room, with a side bar area. The decor is a terquoisey colour, with wood panel and white ceiling. There is a wood floor and decoration is supplied by old posters and adverts on the walls. There are manly tables and chairs, though there is a sofa and a few barrells dotted about. Service was friendly and the place empty, other than us and a mature lady taking a shopping break.

Beers; tap stuff, with a few continental lagers, but on the handpulls there were four Stonehouse Brewery offerings; Off the Rails, Premium Ale, Wheatbeer and Cambrian Gold, all of which were kept well and drinkable at worst.

I liked this little place. It had changed since my last visit, and i will be going back.

very small cramped pub, difficult to find a little tucked out of the way, has had a number of owners over the past few years, the beer in well kept but a little expensive, ideal for shoppers during a lunch break.

The Marlbororough Arms is a decent looking pub in a quieter area of the city centre.
This pub used to be a Whitbread tied house and on this visit there were still Whitbread beers on the bar we had a drink of Flowers IPA which was a decent drink there was also a guest beer but i car'nt remember the name of it.
