Strongers . left this review about The Little Oak

There was brain-numbingly loud music blaring out of a speaker to the entrance and a small seating area with a dartboard to the left. It wasn’t actually that loud in the bar area to the right, so maybe they were just trying to entice people in from the passing street. There’s a couple of seating areas across the front windows to a U-shaped serving counter that faces rearwards. Standard and premium keg were available and two of the three hand pumps were in use drawing Wainwright and Salopian’s Shropshire Gold. The young barmaid didn’t really have a clue what she was doing, which is down to a lack of training. That said, my visit was the beginning of last month so she’s probably an expert by now. In the right rear is a games room with a pool table and another couple of dartboards. Televisions throughout where airing muted Sky Sports News. I’m sure the locals love it in here, but as an out-of-towner I don’t plan on returning.

Refurbished pub. Nicely done refurb and a decent enough pub. Served 3 real ales of varying quality. Friendly staff and worth a visit.

A part creamy rendered terraced brick pub.

A shorter review as i lost a few of my notes on this one. The interior if i remember was open plan, with a part at the back for darts and pool. There was Sky TV, with the decor being white and red, with a couple of sofas around. There were no real ornaments and pictures, apart from some footballer look-a-likes in the bogs. Service was OK.

Beerwise; tap stuff with Everard's Tiger and a poor Timothy Taylor Landlord on handpull.

Boughton seems to have several pubs that should be a loot better, mainly through a lack of beer choice rather than the pub itself
