Town centre pub with several rooms mostly knocked through into one. A long bar counter to the right with two unused hand pumps. Pool table to the rear and darts to the left. A display of poppies, regimental badges and photos of local soldiers occupy wall space. My half of Guinness was a bit colder than at the George, but the same price: £2.10. Busy and lively, with a younger crowd than the George.

The Prince of Wales is a sturdy looking three storey pub that faces a very busy T junction.
Once inside the pub has been opened out into one large room with different areas,the bar is on the right side,the room is bare boarded,there is bench seating in a small area to the rear right,plus bench seating to the front left,there was a pool table to the rear left.
There was one real ale on the bar which was Old Speckled Hen,i asked for a half but was served nearly a full pint for the price of a half,this was served in an Old Speckled Hen marked glass,this drink was really nice and well kept.
This is a pretty basic pub that i was quite happy to have drink in.
