Strongers . left this review about The Royal
The Royal is a Greene King pub and hotel housed in a massive building to the west of the high street. The bedrooms and a function room are found in the rear of the building, fronted by the large pub. To the left of the entrance is a floor boarded bar area with an L-shaped bar counter on the rear wall that faces some seating to the front and a pool table. The parquet floored right side of the pub houses three large seating areas with a mix of standard and high furniture. This is a large pub with lots of seating and standing room. Televisions are found throughout for showing live football which was just about to start as I left. The bar counter supports standard keg and both GK ales were ‘settling in the cellar’ so there were no cask options. I actually liked it in here, it would be a good place to watch the football with a few mates. OK for Scunthorpe.
