A most odd place, the door off Watergate St was locked so I entered round the corner through a covered and walled off semi outdoor drinking area with no bar although it was busy, to the side ignoring a Maitre D’ type I found a way into a bar with a counter supporting four quad T-Bars all mounted oddly and with no indication of what was served. On asking was on a litany of the dreary followed, I had a Moretti. It’s a long thin bar with mid level seating in curved semi booths, the Watergate St end was roped off but had banquette at lower level. There’s another room at the side set out as a restaurant. Can’t say it inspired or impressed me in any way, I wanted to leave fairly soon after entering.

The first bar you reach on the way up from the racecourse or the Holiday Inn where we were staying. This also means it's the last, so when almost everywhere else was closed this is where we called for a last one. It's quite cosy with outside heaters and a pleasant enough inside area. It's king expensive though and the thieving sods try and add a service charge even if you go to the bar, tell them no. Trying to rob us when we ere already getting robbed is going to cost them points.

Very trendy Bar/Eatery mainly aimed at the younger well to do crowd although plenty of middle-aged poseurs on display on my Friday afternoon visit , the uniformed friendly staff looked like extras from Peaky Blinders .
Very much aimed at diners during the day and more party people at night , no real ales , very busy on my visit , not really my sort of place but then again its not aimed at me .

A little bit up its own bottom and seems to be popular with the mannequins from Top Shop and River Island. A bit on the pricey side.

situated at the end of watergate street, this is quite an upmarket sort of pub but has very friendly well mannered staff, good food and a great choice of beers, very popular with horse racing crowd as the pub is on the way to the famous chester roodee, has a great outside area that is a good place to sit and watch the busy city of Chester during the summer months.
