A surprisingly large Old Mill Brewery pub, extending back off into several areas with a games room to one side and a patio and car park at the rear. It appeared to be popular with middle class diners and was quite smart in a kitsch sort of way but at least it seemed nicely looked after. 3 ales from Old Mill which were in good order.

A large hotel, previously having been split into a separate cafe bar but now re-amalgamated but enlarged into one semi-open space. Original walls have been replaced by fake chimneys and doorways, with faux rustic brickwork, intermingling bottles into the mortar (yuk!). Service was friendly and welcoming and the beers were all from Old Mill. I went for their Yorkshire Elixir 4%, which was pretty good (NBSS 3) and cost £4 per pint. If I could train myself to ignore the deliberately bad brickwork, I might quite like to come back another time.
