Situated a little out to the north side of town, this is probably the best of Barton's pubs. There are 5 rooms. Entering from the Waterside Road side of the building, the bar is in front of you, with two rooms off to either side. Beyond, there is a public bar to the left and a larger dining area off to the right.
We found the staff to be friendly here and the beer range had a good range of local ales. 4 regular ales are Theakston Best, Timothy Taylor Boltmaker, Pennine Millie George and Dragon Slayer from Shadow Bridge, a local Barton brewery. The guest beer was Wrath of the Gods, also from Shadow Bridge. The cider was Broadoak Mango.
There is an outdoor patio to the rear and the pub is within easy walking distance of the Humber Bridge.
