In the middle of nowhere on the road going into/coming out of the village of Saughall. The pub is a nice looking country pub though its not as countrified once inside. A large open plan place with the bar straight ahead. To the right of the bar is a pool table and dart board. A beer garden is to the rear. 4 handpumps on the bar but absolutely nothing of worth as two were unclipped, one having Doom Bore and the other a "coming soon" Speckled Hen. There is nothing wrong with the pub but it just felt generic.
