Still known as ‘Sonny’s’, this lively village pub shares it site with a working farm and was once the farmhouse. Parking is on the hardstanding which supports the farm business. There is bench seating on paved areas at the front and side. The way in is through a side door, which takes you into the first small bar which has a table fromed from a large beer barrel. There is a smaller room conjoimned with this one, then a larger dinign area beyond that. The décor is modern and fresh. The staff were very welcoming, while the clientele was a wide cross-section of the village community as well as vsitors from further afield. Ales on were Otter and Piddle Speakeasy, plus 3 local ciders. It’s well worth seeking out, and I’d be back more often if it wasn’t so remote.

Known locally as Sonny's, this is a cracking little country pub well worth finding for its ever-changing range of well-kept ales on stillage in the side tap room. Food is basic pub grub but very good value. Always lively and more often than not packed out in the evenings. Way above average.

Fantastic village pub with locals, visitors and skittlers making a lively atmosphere. Resident dog and cat unobtrusive. Real ales were Yeovil Star Gazer and Otter Bitter, served from the barrel in the cellar to the side of the bar. This is a pub that defies the doom and gloom in the industry and it represents all that is good about it. As a freehouse maybe pubcos should take a look at how to run a successful pub. Known as Sonnys locally after a previous landlord.
