A stone built pub, part of which is kept as a restaurant and does B&B, on what was once the main road but is now a quiet village street. There is a small car park opposite and two or three parking spaces next to the pub. There is a large patio area set in the angle of the L-shaped building, where tables and benches are set for diners when weather allows. Inside there are two bars and a restaurant. The decor and furnishings are basic, not terribly comfortable. There is a TV showing live sports in the smaller front bar. Two handpumps in each bar, Doombar and Butcombes being dispensed in both rooms. There are also 4 boxed ciders on the bar. It was a little pricey but being close to the A303 means that isn't too much of a surprise. I found it a bit soulless and I don't see it being a regular stop-off.
