A friendly backstreet local, known locally as The Billy. It’s a Georgian building on the B road from Shepton towards Glastonbury, now on the edge of the built up area. There is no car park and it can get tight on the roads around. There is a nice big garden, slightly irregular, mostly lawn. Inside, there is a single bar formed from conjoining earlier rooms. The locals were friendly enough, but there wasn’t much of a pub atmosphere. Only one ale on, Doombar, in fair condition. OK to drop in if passing, but I shouldn’t go out of my way to visit.
