Very much a locals pub this one but as stated below they were a friendly bunch! Looks like I had a similar visit to ETA as my beer wasn't good either - only Cheddar Ales George Best available and I couldn't drink it so exchanged it for a bottle of Old Peculiar. I imagine it doesn't sell well enough to keep a good pint. I'd happily call in again if passing but I wouldn't go out of my way!

A small backstreet local, very much a local boozer. The single open plan bar is vaguely L-shaped, leading to a less comfortable area at the back. It looks a bit scruffy from the outside, and the interior also could do with renovation, but we got a good welcome from staff and locals alike. The beer wasn’t great – Exmoor Ale in poor condition on draught, though there was a good selection of bottled beers including Old Peculiar and Black Sheep. There is a pool table, dart board and jukebox, so it does have a good pub feel, but the beer quality and the need to negotiate the Highbridge traffic bottleneck mean I probably won’t be back too often.
