E TA left this review about The Globe Inn
A rather scruffy back-street boozer, off the beaten track yet easily accessible from the A38. It was guarded by smokers who occupied the front door and shed their waste on the footpath adjacent, adding to the mess left by chewing gum litter. Inside, there are two rooms served by a single bar. The first has a functional open fire, TV screen and relatively comfortable seating. The second room has had its brick fireplace blocked by a radiator and also has a TV. The barman was sociable enough, but it was clearly mainly for its regulars. There were three pumps on the bar, one dry, one dispensing Doombar and the other Addlestone’s cider. The Doombar was in very poor condition and not at all enjoyable. I’d leave this one to the locals.
