A large, busy town centre pub in a Georgian building which has been opened out to form a single large downstairs bar and a separate bar upstairs where live music acts and other events are hosted. There is also a skittle alley. At one end is a sunken area which has a dartboard. The furniture is mostly tables for those enjoying the average standard pub grub which is on offer. The staff are friendly, if a little clueless, while the regulars are mostly normal people enjoying a beer, company and watching live sports on the multiple TVs dotted around. Two ales on, Marston’s EPA and Pedigree, both in fair condition but very cheap, making them far better VFM than most other pubs in the area. Not at all bad.

Decent pub with a warm welcome. Well kept ales and food served every day - didn't eat but menu looked OK regular pub grub at reasonable prices. Above average.
