Quite a pleasant roadside food stop, with a couple of hand pumps. Old Speckled Hen (NBSS 3) and Sharps Atlantic; a keg version of Doom Bar was also available.

An unpretentious roadside inn, independently owned. It its on its own on the road to Nether Stowey, and has a traditional rural feel. There is a gravel car park and a rather shabby outside area, all of which makes it feel a bit dated, but the welcome from the staff is genuine enough. They serve locally sourced food, including Sunday lunches, though prices are a little high. Only one ale on, Doombar, which was in average condition, a second handpump with Stan’s Cider, and a third one, dry. The keg selection was Guinness, Cruzcampo, Moretti, Carling, and Thatcher’s Gold and Haze. OK to stop for lunch but I wouldn’t make an evening of it.

Good 'olde worlde' pub with a friendly welcome, well-kept beers and a good menu at reasonable prices. Above average.
