The Wrens Nest seemed to have survived the prediction of its doom, with active Facebook accounts subsequent to the Covid lockdowns, but nothing posted since June 2024. A streetview image of August 2025 seems to show it as Village Grill & Desserts, with some building work going on internally. So it looks like the pub has finally given up the ghost, though it's good that the building remains as a village facility, I suppose.

Looks like the end for this one , local council wants to demolish it for housing and childrens play area .

This place had been closed for a while but has been done up recently and is well worth a visit. Didnt go in the bar but the lounge is beautiful. Hardly recognised the place. Beer good, service good and food lovely (reasonably priced too)
