A few problems here , the council have given planning permission for houses to be built at the rear of the pub , the houses mean the pub will no longer be allowed to host live music due to the proximity of the new houses , live music is the pubs main attraction as there are few live music venues in town .
There have also been complaints about the beer garden being to close to the new development .
A petition has been set up to hopefully save the pub , i doubt it will survive as just a pub .

The pub is as described by ROB Camra but i went during the beer and music festival so 6 handpulls , 5 on Hobgoblin ,Bishops Finger ,Pedigree , Cumberland and Everards Flourish , i had Bishops Finger which was good , worringly i was the only customer on a Saturday afternoon . Service was good and barmaid chatty , worth a visit

Out & out Rock pub specialising in music. It had been keg only for some time but now sells real ale. OK they only had one on my several visits in midweek, but they're trying. It's always been pretty good as well, keep it going please guys. Large stage area in one room with loads of decent looking seating and a quiz machine. Two pool tables in the other room. Friendly welcome from the staff. It's been pretty quiet when I've been in, but is reported to be very busy at weekends. It's alright is this place. You can't say that about many places in Wellington.
