Quite a turnaround from the previous review, when the Unicorn was a "no real ale" desert. Now it's one of the best pubs in Telford, with five cask beers and a still cider, plus keg beers from the likes of Deya, Verdant, Buxton and - yes, OK, Sharps Doom Bar. I couldn't resist the Green Duck Bostin' Mild XXL 6%, and it was in very good condition, as was my second choice, Noble Crusade 4%, a new brewery to me. All beers are listed on a video screen, which rotates to also show what is coming soon, which numbered about 16 beers before I lost count.
The bar counter is on the left in the second room on entering, with a further room through an arch. It's all very well decorated in varied colours and carpets. This pub is worth the effort to get here - I was cycling, so I really do mean effort - but there are buses that get to within a short walk. (Closed Mondays, opens 3:30 midweek, 2 Friday, 12 at weekends.)

A popular pub, but why escapes me. Almost all keg & national beers (nothing local), loads of bandits, more TV screens than a TV shop & loud (so called) music. Regularly advertises in local press (should tell you something) so went in with a friend & we had to shout to make ourselves heard. Staff & customers seemed to have an IQ to match their shoe size. Oh yes, they have karaoke too. In fact this pub has everything I hate in pubs & nothing I like. The only thing to recommend is the exit.
