Oggwyn Great left this review about The Wrekin View
Large modern Marstons pub built in the late 1980s , halfway up Dawley Bank and offering splendid views of famous Shropshire landmark the Wrekin hill hence the pubs name . It is built on a slope so entrance is by a variety of steps or ramps , inside it loooks like a barn conversion , lots of wooden beams , high ceilings and lots of exposed brickwork with lots of old style agricultural tools on the walls and over the bar . The bar is straight in front as you enter , to the left is a dartboard and pool table , to the right steps lead down to the large dining area and a small outside seating area(there are seats outside near the entrance as well), it is very food led with lots of cheap meal deals , the usual keg beers suprisingly for this sort of pub three handpulls with Ringwood Ground Hog and Forty Niner and Brakspear Oxford Gold , i tried the Ground Hog and Oxford Gold both pretty good if a tad cold .
Overall not to bad a pub if a bit foody for my taste
