Small pleasant pub high above the gorge just off the Madeley to Ironbridge road. Built in “cottage ornaté” style, although an end terrace. It has a big bar at the front reached by a long route from the front door round to the small square bar counter. Two handpumps on here serving Shropshire beers from Woods and Six Bells, sadly not all they should have been but it was the hottest day of the year so far. The bar is small and cosy with a quarry tile floor, plain old furniture, a brick fireplace and restrained use of brassware. There is a larger conservatory like area further back.

Pleasant little locals pub overlooking the gorge. It's one of those horse brasses and prints of gentlemen in frock coats type of place. Very food oriented, when I went to the bar the first thing I was asked is “Are you eating with us?” Three handpumps on the bar but only two in use, serving Salopian Hop Twister and Thwaites Original. Had a pint of the Salopian which was very good. It's a nice enough place and the food did look good. I may have to brave the hill again and eat here next time I'm in Ironbridge.
