Oggwyn Great left this review about The Captain Webb
large estate pub built around 1969 and named after local lad(from Dawley just up the road) and first man to swim the channel Captain Matthew Webb , its a large open plan pub , to one end theres two pool tables and a dart board , the bar runs along the left hand side with a more modern extension to the right and at the far end a bar area with large TV showing sport with a couple of smaller TVs placed above the bar . Its pretty clean and tidy in here , well maintained , usual tap stuff plus real ales , Abbott , Three Tuns 1642 and Ludlow Best , i had the Ludlow Best , OK but served far to cold , OK as pubs in Wellington go .
