Blue Scrumpy left this review about Ye Olde Crown
The Olde Crown looks like a fairly traditional pub from the outside, but has been opened out somewhat inside with two front rooms acting as shrines for the local Port Vale Football Club and a rear room used as a live music venue with Northern Soul appearing to be popular.
Its varied cask ale selection has also meant it now appears in the Good Beer Guide. There are 5 handpulls. 1 was unclipped, but the others had Beartown Kahuna, Greene King Abbot, Thornbridge Jaipur & Sarah Hughes Dark Ruby. Ciders were Aspall's & Carling Black Fruits.
Probably best avoided on Port Vale home matchdays, but worthy of inclusion on any tour of Burslem on any other day. We were joined by just one other customer whilst we visited, allowing us to have a good mooch around.

A decent pub which is very much adorned with Port Vale memorabilia. 4 handpumps with 3 cask and 1 cider. Music memorabilia in the back part of the pub.

Alan Winfield left this review about Ye Olde Crown
The Ye Olde Crown looks quite small from the outside with it having two taller buildings either side of it.
Once inside there was a small bar to the right with a small area in front of it with a stone tiled floor and there was another small room to the left which had long wood bench seating and small stools, there was lots of Port Vale pictures on the walls.
There was a tv showing Aston Villa v Man Utd.
There was a larger room to the rear which looked like it was set up for a disco or live band but this area was in darkness on my late afternoon visit.
There were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Pedigree which was a decent drink the other beer was Gk Abbot.
This was a pleasant enough pub to have a drink in.
