Strongers . left this review about The Albert
The Albert is a shabby boozer with a central L-shaped bar counter that faces the entrance and seating up the left that is overlooked by a projector screen on the rear wall that is used to air live football. To the right is a raised area with a dartboard and pool table, and in the left front window is a stage with musical equipment. Standard and premium keg was available and one of the three hand pumps was badged with Bass, which was off. There were three very excitable locals in during a recent Tuesday evening visit, so it was loud with no real atmosphere. The barmaids loaded pushchair in the middle of the floor by the stage did little to add to the ambiance. This place is a bit of a dump and I don’t plan on returning.

Just off the main road. A couple of real ales were available and though the place is less than spotless it was OK for an afternoon drink.

Agree with Alan's comments about the pub and thought it was a tad dark and dismal. There were 3 handpulls on show with only 2 functioning, The Pedigree and Hobgoblin.

The Albert is stuated on a side street just off london road.
Once inside there was a decent sized L shaped room with the bar facing, there was a pool table to the right on a raised area and a small stage to the front left which was a set up for karioke.
There were small tables and stools to the front and a comfy looking leather bench seat to the rear, there was some decent music playing on my early dinner visit.
There was one real ale on the bar which was Pedigree and this was a nice drink.
The pub seemed a bit dowdy in my opinion.
