Strongers . left this review about The Signalman
The Signalman is a laminate floored L-shaped pub with a games area to the left where a banquette runs under the front window and a dartboard, skittles table and television all reside. Banquettes are also found under the front right window where they continue up the right-hand wall to steps that climb to the bar area in the right rear of the pub. Here the serving counter up the left faces a table with padded bench seating and a beer shelf lined with barstools. Some vocal midweek locals were gathered in seating at the rear under a television that was supplying background music via a TV channel. On the bar was a selection of standard and premium keg products alongside two hand pumps, one was unused which left a decent Bass as the cask option. I thought the service was polite and I enjoyed this visit, so I’d pop back in if passing.

The Signalman is well away from the middle of Longton and it is close to the railway lines.
The pub was comfortable enough inside but there were no real ales on the bar the only bitter was Tetley smooth so i had a Guinness.
