The Red Lion had dance music going on in the vault where I sat to drink my pint away from the bingo in progress in the lounge. There’s a pool table and regular live music is hosted. Only Bass was available on cask during a recent Wednesday evening visit. Not on my revisit list.

The Red Lion looks like a 30s built pub that is just off the busy hartshill road.
Once inside the pub had two seperate rooms, there was a small bar to the right which was empty on my early evening visit, the lounge to the left was larger and fairly busy, this was a long narrow room which extended to the rear of the pub,it had comfy bench seating with chairs.
There were three real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Thwaites Lancaster Bomber which was a very nice drink, the other beers were Caledonian Sunseeker and Bombardier.
This room was quite busy with a good atmosphere and there was some decent music playing.
There is a garden to the rear of the pub which looked quite nice.
I did'nt like the look of this pub from the outside but it was quite a nice pub to have a few drinks in.
