Strongers . left this review about The Bench & Bar
Bench & Bar has a central L-shaped serving counter that supports standard and premium keg alongside four hand pumps, with two in use drawing Bass and Thistly Cross Cider. There were also three or four Lilleys clips, I assume some cider boxes were being stored behind the bar. There’s lots of exposed brick throughout and to the right of the bar is a sunken seating area where some younger customers were sat on banquettes while watching Stoke City via Sky Sports. The barman was friendly enough and I enjoyed the Bass, so I’d probably pop back in if passing.

The Bench and Bar is a small corner pub that is in a residential area, the pub is also quite close to an impressive looking brick built church.
Once inside there was a square shaped room with the bar facing, the room was carpeted and had comfortable bench seating and small stools, there was a smaller area down a couple of steps to the rear of this room.
There was a large TV showing the Fulham v Stoke game with Norweigen commentry.
The pub is a Thwaites tied house and there are no real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Thwaites smooth which was a very poor drink.
This is a locals pub and it was fairly busy with a mixed bunch on my Saturday afternoon visit.
