Strongers . left this review about The Angel Inn
The Angel Inn has banquettes up the left-hand wall that are faced by the serving counter that supports standard and premium keg. A television and large screen were airing muted football via TNT Sport and there was background music playing off the jukebox. There’s a separate room with a couple of dartboards and an old exposed brick fireplace, and behind the counter to the right rear is a pool table. There’s no cask, but the service was polite and there was a good atmosphere, so I’d pop back in if passing.

Alan Winfield left this review about The Angel Inn
The Angel Inn is a proper old looking pub that is very close the the Duke of Wellington.
Once inside the pub has been opened out into a single L shaped room, the room was fairly narrow and is carpeted, there were normal tables and chairs and a small TV in the left corner showing some daft football programme, there was a pool table in a small room off the main room to the front right.
There were four pumps on the bar with two having their clips turned round,i had a drink of Bass which was a nice drink, the other beer was Pedigree.
This pub was nice and warm on a very cold day making it a nice pub to sit in over a drink.
