Difficult to find pub in the backstreets of Bell Vue , well worth a visit though , pretty busy on my visit but service was quick and friendly , there is a large bowling green out the back with seating from Shrewsburys old Gay Meadow Ground (the pub is an acctive supporter of the club and run coachs to away games)and some old advertising boards brighten up the beer patio . Five real ales on Salopian Golden Thread , GK IPA , Theakstons Mild , St Austell Tribute and Hydes Ringmaster , i had Golden Thread which was very good . This is a decent pub well worth finding

Two roomed pub with the main room being aimed more towards food as the tables and chairs are all dining type ones with red coverings, all in good condition. Loads of plates around the walls along with several "yards of ale". Large bowling green out the back that has some of the seats from the old Gay Meadow football ground round the outside. Five beers on the bar GK IPA, St Austell Tribute, Salopian Golden Thread and Blarney plus Theakston's Mild. Had a pint of the Blarney which was fine. Friendly bar staff, but hardly anyone in at 8 p.m. even on Paddy's night. It's well worth a visit though.

Difficult to find. Nice pub with good real ale - see CAMRA Good Beer Guide. Odd shaped bumpy bowling green at the rear. Parking very difficult as in narrow street of residential area. for Shrewsbury its quirky & I like that.
