The Dun Cow is an old Tudor pub that sits behind a raised patio that has a few picnic tables, concentration is required when descending the stairs at the entrance after a few beers. A worn wooden floor runs across the front of the pub where seating is found along the front walls and windows either side of the entrance, and an L-shaped serving counter is found in the left rear corner. Standard and premium keg options were available alongside three hand pumps that were drawing Wye Valley’s Butty Back and HPA as well as Ossett’s White Rat. I spotted two televisions that were both airing World Cup football with sound that was fighting with background music, so I had to pick a table near a television to try and drown out the unnecessary music. To the right rear is an impressive feature fireplace and beyond is a dining area and access to a raised decked seating area out the back. The service was polite, but I’m not sure that I’d go out of my way to revisit.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Dun Cow
Attractive old pub, appearing to be a genuine Tudor building rather than a later brewer's fake. Anyway, once you have negotiated the flight of steps up to the main entrance, you find a suitably traditional L-shaped bar at the front and several further seating / dining areas of various sizes as you go further back. Just a pair of Wye Valley beers from the two banks of three handpumps: HPA and Butty Bach (£4.40).

One of those pubs whose exterior is all askew. Old style inside and not too bad. Real ales available.

Very old pub reputedley haunted , lots of old beams and a few old wooden panels give a hint to the age of the pub , front is the bar area , to the rear is the resturant , usual keg taps and three handpulls , Bombadier , landlord and an OK Bass

Real mix of people in here for a Tuesday. Locals round the bar, football fans watching the TV and a few people in for the food. Real fire in the main room but freezing in the separate restaurant area. 3 handpumps but only London Pride and GK IPA on tap. Had a pint of the IPA, it was OK, but then IPA is only an OK pint at it's best. Looks like a popular pub and it's certainly one I'll call in again when in this part of town.
