This is a local’s boozer that is known as both the Bricklayers Arms and the Brick with both names being referenced on front signage. A central U-shaped serving counter supports premium keg options alongside Alpacalypse and four hand pumps that were all unused. There’re tables with tartan upholstered seating at the front and in the tartan carpeted rear where there’s also a dartboard. There’s also a pool table in a room to the front right. The service was polite and I wasn’t made to feel unwelcome, but this pub is too far from the town centre to warrant a revisit.

This small three roomed place is OK if you're nearby but whether its worth the walk from town is debatable. Described elsewhere I found it to be average to be honest.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Brick
Refurbished three-room pub, that feels a bit rough-and-ready but not in a hostile way. It retains two (almost) separate bars, and there is also a side room with a pool table. The smaller front bar also has a real fire that was starting to come into its own as the seasons change. Just a 'house' real ale (on unclear provenance) available from the three handpumps on each counter, but the quality was fine.

Pleasant locals pub just outside the town centre. Two handpumps selling Draught Bass and Old Speckled Hen. I tried the Bass and a very good pint it was too. A reminder of how good Bass used to be when kept well. Friendly service with a smile. Has a pool table and a quiz machine. Good pub.
