As other reviewers have pointed out this pub is in an exelent location , the views from the beer garden across the Severn into Quarry park are lovelly , the pub itself is fairly narrow and cramped , it was busy with diners on my visit so i went out into the beer garden which was suprisingly full on the chilly evening of my visit . Half the beer garden was partioned off for a private party whos music was booming out ruining the pleasant atmosphere of the gardens . Usual keg stuuff plus 3 real ales , Salopian Shropshire Gold , Wood Shropshire Lad and Three Tuns 1642 which i had , it was OK if not that great . This pub could and should be so much better , worth a pop in for the garden views if not the beer

Small car park and multi-levels do not make this pub wheelchair friendly.Lovely old building and riverside gardens make it a nice place for a drink on a sunny day.It has never had a name for exceptional food or beer but it gets by. Its position makes up for a lot.The large park across the River Severn mean the views will never be spoiled.

Everything fine about this pub, views, position, beer etc., EXCEPT for the poor quality food and food service. Went on one of their "curry nights" to check the food prior to taking friends there. Even allowing for the low price, this was a completely forgettable meal - a chicken curry in name only. Shame as otherwise the pub has a lot going for it.

Nice pub next to the river. Sometimes the river comes up to meet the customers as can be seen in the picture. Olde worlde pub, low beams etc, you know the stuff. Can get very crowded in the summer, though as they have a large terrace this is not normally a problem. Couple of local reals ales indifferently served. Food available but has I haven't eaten here I'll not comment other than to say it looks interesting. Can be a bit yuppie & touristy at times. Next to a lovely bouncy suspension bridge. Very little car parking. When friends visit the area this is one pub I take them to.
