Soup Dragon left this review about Talbot Inn

A two-storey c17 Grade II listed terraced pub/restaurant with outdoor area, slightly spoiled by the upper new windows. The interior is effectively one long room with the bar to the side. The interior is in wood and white, with mixed pictures - including old photos - with very good service and a mixed clientele. The music was at a decent level. Three Ale Pumps were marked, with Wye Valley HPA and Butty Bach (but these were not on) and a decent pint of Salopian Freezin Firkin. Food was good. I would definitely go back.

A charming olde worlde interior of horse brasses, beams and inglenook fireplace, traditionally furnished with wood and a floral carpet, very much a dining pub but not anti drinker although service was a bit slow due to table waiting bar staff. Just two pulls with Bass and Robinsons Dizzy Blonde, the Bass was fine but I suspect top pressure is at work here, it was also served in a Carling glass so a loss of points there. The main entry is through a couple of side doors off a pleasant beer garden, one enters the front dining area and the other into a higher more bar like area also set up for eating, the L shaped counter is here as well as a big screen. Only just this side of twee mainly due to photos of regulars, ad’s for local events and a number of pesky warning notices.

Now more a resaurant than a pub. Food very good but the ale was simply awful. I won't go there so why should you. No parking on site, municipal car park at the rear. One star for the food only.
