Now re-invented as The Green House. Three hand pulls but only one serving beer on my visit. Holden's Golden Glow it was then. An interesting building for sure but as it was my first visit I do not know if it is better or worse that previously. I would visit again.

Back as a pub again. Now the Old Swan. Decent choice of beers on when we called with Ludlow Gold, Hobson's Champion and Salopian Golden Thread. Well worth a visit.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Swan
Fine-looking old inn when viewed from the street, claiming to date from 1392, so the heavily refurbished interior comes as something of a surprise. The front section remains most in keeping, but as you progress through the bar to the raised rear seating area the furniture becomes more modern and the decor less upmarket. Two beers available on handpump: Doom Bar and a decent Rudgate Hoppy Go Lucky (£3.20). Overall, a slightly of mixture of a place.

Imposing half timbered building with the expected black beams and low ceiling, other than that a not entirely tasteful renovation, not particularly sympathetic but not as nasty as some. Entered via a side “coaching inn” style archway the front seating area has a choice of high posing tables and stools or low tables with benches and chairs. This area has white plastered walls and quite a few old photos. The counter is in a central quarry tiled section with a raised seating area or two to the side but otherwise vertical drinking only. I could have had a Shropshire Lad or a Shropshire Lass but played it straight and had the Lass. The condition of the beer was fine. There was another local ale whose name eludes me, an Adnams and the usual kegs Beyond the barcounter is another raised area with more tables and chairs plus a big screen. Hard to judge the atmosphere on an early lunchtime visit but the previous night it appeared full with 18-30s. The fashionable grey tongue and groove, twigs and the general furnishings seemed to confirm that was the target trade.

Nice Jacobean looking builing from the outside, the interior is very open plan, with several sections within, including; diniing area, sofa kind of wierdy bench things (i know thats not helpful), half backed chairs and more traditional tables and stools. Plain walls are adorned by memorabilia of old Bridgnorth and easy listening music was played at a nice level. The service was functional. It was pretty empty when we visited.
Beer wise, apart from the usual tosh, there was Wood's Shropshire Lad, which was really nice and Summer That. Also Brains Bitter and Bombardier.
I would visit this place again, happily

A great looking pub from the outside, all black and white and matches the fantastic old town hall facing it. The inside isn't as striking with modern tables and a pool table, plus a quiz machine. Two handpumps on the bar Banks's Bitter & Old Speckled Hen. Had a Banks's, served by a trainee barmaid called Petra, it was OK (the beer not the barmaid, she was nicer than the beer). It's not great in here, but I suspect it gets rather busy with the younger crowd later on.

Lovely pub with defined areas for smoking and non smoking although this will become unnecessary soon. This place has plenty of character but is let down by it's limited choice of beers.
