The third of the backstreet boozers in Eynsham, this appears to have changed hands since I last visited. Entering via the front entrance, a door retaining its former 'Off Sales' notice faces, with unsigned entrances to the left and right. To the left, a thin room runs at a right-angle to the entrance, rising beyond the right-hand bar and containing limited seating and a dartboard. The door to the right of entrance contains a larger, chunky L-shape room with two L-shaped booths in front, the bar to the left and slightly raised area around to the left of the bar with a few small tables and chairs. Entering into the latter I gained a welcome from a chap who I eventually found out to be the guv'nor. A Sunday evening visit found an ale range limited to Fuller's London Pride (apparently they had got through all their ales that weekend and would have four back come Tuesday morning), so I had to go for a half of BrewDog Punk IPA (£2.50 a half). A clutch of locals in who seemed to be the guv'nor's mates were in control of the music, which meant chopping and changing between songs, even when halfway through (although everything seemed to be by The Faces / Small Faces, so credit for the music choice at least). One to revisit at another time that isn't the craziness of Sunday evening I think.
