After being relinquished by Greene King, the Lamb & flag is now under local ownership and seems to be appreciated by the locals who were occupying many of the outside seats when I visited. Inside, the bar sits at the back of the main room; there's more space off to the side.

The bar itself seems to have primarily swapped GK for Marstons, with Brakspear's & a very good EPA available (sadly, nothing from Marston's Wychwood Brewery just down the road in Witney). Ale drinkers won't be surprised to hear that Doom Bar occupied the 3rd pump. Mind you, there's a need for it, given it was the choice of other ale drinkers. We got our first pints just inside the 5pm - 7pm happy hour. Seems to be no kitchen at present, so it's worth enquiring if eating's your intention.

Overall, it's good to have the pub back; hope it can thrive.
