A country pub in this village betwixt Chinnor and Thame and nearby to the Phoenix Trail - a disused railway line stretching from Thame to Princes Risborough now the preserve of walkers and cyclists. The building is divided into two internally with a carpeted bar area to the left, and dining sections to the right with a central flagstoned area between. There's third-height dark wood panelling in the bar along with old style tables and chairs, the bar counter against the rear wall. This a popular food pub, and the fare is of the pub grub variety and around the £10 mark. A beer garden is opposite the pub across the car park and has a contained kids' play area. Just the two ales on - Marston's 61 Deep and Sharp's Doom Bar. There was also a bag-in-a-box real cider in the form of Thatcher's Stan. Service was friendly and this ticks enough boxes if you are walking or cycling nearby and fancy a stop-off.
